SWEAT Day 8 | WDA Global Summit | Paper Presentations

Welcome back to the Break a SWEAT series! Here, I will be running by you all the highlights, main participants and noteworthy programmes to check out from the SWEAT Hong Kong International Dance Festival 2022. For our final episode, we take a look at the the Paper Presentations.

The Summit is a 4-day virtual conference featuring a series of riveting and inspiring paper presentations, pecha kucha presentations, dance film screenings and keynote presentations from world renowned figures. With the theme Dance Offer/On New Energy, it aims to promote dance and wellness in response to the Covid-19 pandemic affecting the wellbeing of dance practitioners worldwide; by shining a light on different facets of Dance including Wellness, Education, Community, Sustainability, Creativity.

Today, let's look at session 10 regarding the need to build a more long-term growth model for dance and the performing arts. Featuring the likes of ASK Dance Company, Iris Lau and Juliette O'Brien, we learn different aspects of how past, present and future connect to achieve sustainability 👉
