Inside Industry Auditions | Danny Hindmarsh

A young and emergent businessperson who has figured a way to transform the audition circuit through technology and enterprise.

Shifting from performer to entrepreneur requires not just passion but also a high tolerance for risk and uncertainty. Without a strong appetite for the unpredictable journey ahead, many dancers shy away from the entrepreneurial path. Yet, those who do take the leap often become the industry's trailblazers, using their vision and tenacity to spark meaningful change.

One such trailblazer is Danny Hindmarsh, an Australian dancer turned business innovator who is already making a global impact. As the CEO and co-founder of Industry Auditions, Danny has developed an online platform that addresses a critical gap in the performing arts: talent sourcing and recruitment. His cutting-edge mobile app offers performers a centralized hub to find auditions that perfectly match their skills and interests.

Kickstarting a brand new season and month of Dance Business, this episode explores the lessons of building a tech business, navigating career transitions, and leveraging industry knowledge to enhance the performing arts. Entrepreneur / Dancer

As a creative entrepreneur with over 12 years of experience in the entertainment industry, I have honed my skills as a performer, leader, and innovator. Recently, I founded and launched Industry Auditions, a cutting-edge mobile app for performers. With Industry Auditions, performers can easily find, track, and manage their auditions, making the process more streamlined and efficient than ever before.

I am passionate about lifelong learning and believe that every experience, both on and off stage, can be an opportunity for growth. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working for some of the world's top entertainment companies, including Disney Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Hong Kong Disneyland, Princess Cruises, Royal Palace Music Hall, and Shanghai Disney Resort. Whether performing or leading a team, I have always been committed to excellence and dedicated to achieving the highest standards of quality.

In addition to my work in the entertainment industry, I am also a passionate designer, building bold brands for brave businesses across web and print with extensive experience building WordPress websites and creating design collateral.
